Steve Osborn

Tragically a pillar of our team died on Saturday. Steve Osborn passed away 13th June 2020. Much loved by family and friends alike. He worked tirelessly in support of his community. We have been overwhelmed with the outpouring of tributes, for Steve, the life he led, and the hearts he touched.

Steve died in hospital after a short illness on the day that the Virtual Valley Music Festival was launched on Youtube, a project which he had been deeply involved with, along with his son-in-law Steve. Many of the 300 performers who would have taken part in the actual festival had the pandemic not struck took part.  It is a fitting tribute to Steve who along with his wife Hilary were the driving force behind the festival.  The response to our JustGiving appeal to expand our scholarship programme for young people’s music tuition has been wonderful, with many donors paying tribute to Steve who hundreds of people knew fondly through his selfless, awe-inspiring community work.  His smiling face and friendly manner to all will be very much missed.

Steve’s drive and passion derived from his unwavering principle that the arts can make a difference and can change a person’s life.
